Academic work
- The Department of Plastic Surgery and Combustiology carries out the following courses:
- Advanced training course "Plastic esthetic surgery". Duration of the course is 80 hours (on extrabudgetary basis).
- Advanced training course "Modern aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery". Duration of the course is 160 hours.
- Advanced training course "Prophylaxis and treatment of contractures, deformations and abnormal cicatrical tissue in surgery of burns and wounds". Duration of the course is 160 hours.
- Advanced training course "Reconstructive and restorative plastic surgery and microsurgery in the treatment of full-thickness burns, wounds of other nature and their effects". Duration of the course is 160 hours.
- Advanced training course "Thermal injuries: actual problems at different stages of treatment". Duration of the course is 160 hours.
Training at clinical residency is chargeable.

- Mastering of new technologies and methods of diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation
- Method of surgical treatment of patients with injuries of peripheral nerves on the basis of combined graft with installation of autologous mesenchymal stem cells in the conditions of neural transdifferentiation.
- Methods of surgery rehabilitation of patients with facial paralysis
- Application of minimally invasive technologies in treatment and prophylaxis of insenescence of soft tissues of face and body.
- Treatment of pampinocele with the application of microsurgery technique: "aorta mesenteric clamp".
- Expander dermotension in surgical treatment of scarring alopecia and trauma defects of hairy part of the head.
- Application of ultrasound generator in treatment of burns and wounds of another origin.
- Application of vacuum generator in wound therapy.
Membership
N.Podgaisky, head of the department, is a national secretary of ISAPS (International Society of Plastic and Esthetic Surgeons) in Belarus, active member of the Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (SPRAS) from the time of its foundation, member of European Confederation of Societies of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (ESPRAS)
