Republican conference with international participation "Topical issues of ophthalmology" was held in BelMAPE

On December 9-10, 2022, there had been held the 15th annual Republican Conference with international participation "Actual Issues of Ophthalmology" in the format of a videoconference.

The conference was opened by head of the main department of the organization of medical care of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus Shcherbinsky A.A.

The First vice-rector, Candidate of Medical Sciences, associate professor Platonov A.V. and head of the Department of Ophthalmology, Doctor of Medical Sciences, professor Imshenetskaya T.A. made a welcoming speech.

Leading ophthalmologists from Belarus, Russia, Georgia and Uzbekistan took part in the conference.

For 2 days, 11 meetings were held in various areas of ophthalmology, during which 8 lectures and 82 reports were made on topical problems of ophthalmology, innovative approaches and new technologies for diagnosing and treating diseases of the organ of vision. Doctors of related specialties were also invited to the conference: neurologists and neurosurgeons, oncologists and anesthesiologists-resuscitators.

The broadcast of the conference sessions received more than 2,000 views in 2 days.

Every year the conference "Actual Issues of Ophthalmology" is a platform for the exchange of experience, an active dialogue of specialists in the field of ophthalmology on topical issues, and also contributes to the maintenance and development of international relations of BelMAPE.
