Republican Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation «Endoscopy: Present and Future»

On the 27th of May 2022, there had been held the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation «Endoscopy: Present and Future» at Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. The conference brought together more than 230 specialists from all regions of our country.The conference was opened by Tatyana Sanukevich, Deputy Head of the Main Department of Organization of Medical Care, Head of the Department of Specialized Medical Care of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus.

Rector of BelMAPE, Candidate of Medical Sciences, associate professor Alexei Chukanov addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech.

The scientific part of the program of the conference was opened with the report "New opportunities of the Discovery artificial intelligence system in ensuring the quality standards of modern colonoscopy" by associate professor of the Department of Gastroenterology of Federal State Budgetary Institution "National Medical Research Center for Therapy and Preventive Medicine" of the Ministry of Health of Russia, head of the Endoscopy Department of Yaroslavl Regional Clinical Oncology Hospital, Candidate of Medical Sciences, associate professor Sergey Kashin. Specialists from various healthcare institutions of Belarus and Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education also took part in the conference with reports. Speeches made by head of the Department of Surgery, Doctor of Medical Sciences, professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus A. V. Sparrow and associate professor of the Department of Gastroenterology and Nutrition, Candidate of Medical Sciences, associate professor E. I. Adamenko were of great interest among the audience. Specialists from the Scientific and Practical Center for Oncology and Medical Radiology named after N.N. Aleksandrov shared their experience of working with the endoscopic ultrasound system at the pathology of gastrointestinal tract and respiratory organs.

During the conference, there had been discussed the issues of modern approaches to endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of therapeutic and surgical patients with various nosologies: gastroesophageal disease, precancerous pathology of the gastrointestinal tract, ischemic colitis.

Particular attention was paid to the principles of confidentiality in the activities of a medical specialist in modern conditions.

The conference participants were also able to visit the exhibition, which presented modern endoscopic equipment and tools, learn about technical innovations in endoscopy.
