Workshop "Problems and main directions for improving the quality of training of specialists with secondary specialized medical and pharmaceutical education"

From the 30th of November to the 13th of December, 2021, there had been held a republican workshop "Problems and main directions for improving the quality of training of specialists with secondary specialized medical and pharmaceutical education" at BelMAPE, organized by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus and the Republican Center for Scientific and Methodological Support of Medical and Pharmaceutical Education of BelMAPE. The objectives of the workshop were to increase the level of professional competence of teachers, to promote the dissemination of experience in effective teaching practice to improve the quality and methodological support of the educational process of educational institutions. The objectives of the workshop were improvement of professional competence of lecturers, promotion of the dissemination of experience in effective pedagogical practice to improve the quality and methodological support of the educational process of educational institutions.

The workshop was held remotely, which allowed everyone to take part in the workshop at different stages, share their professional experience and get acquainted with the activities of educational institutions for the improvement of the quality of training of specialists with specialized secondary medical education. Video recordings of reports, information and methodological materials were posted on the distance learning platform of BelMAPE and during the seminar they were available for copying and further use in professional activities.

The event was attended by representatives of medical colleges, State Educational Institution "Baranovichi Center for Advanced Studies of Executives and Specialists".

In total, 32 people took part in the seminar as speakers, who presented 29 reports. The number of views of participants' materials achieved 982.

The workshop was organized into three sections.

In the section 1 "Topical issues and effective pedagogical practice of improving the quality of training of specialists with secondary specialized medical education" 15 reports were presented (views of materials - 547) with the analysis of the experience of the Belarusian Mining and Metallurgical Plant, Bobruisk Mining and Metallurgical Plant, Brest Mining and Metallurgical Plant, Vitebsk Mining and Metallurgical Plant, Gomel Mining and Metallurgical Plant, Minsk MMC, Mogilev MMC, Mozyr MMC, Orsha MMC, Polotsk MMC, Slonim MMC, Baranovichi Center for Advanced Training of Managers and Specialists.

The materials reflect the issues of improving the quality of training of specialists through the modernization of forms, methods, technologies of the educational process: information and communication technologies, technologies of mind maps, business games, contextual learning methods, the introduction of active forms and methods of current certification of students, integrated training sessions, organization independent activities of students, the creation and use of teaching aids, a teacher's blog, etc.

In the section 2 "Experience and prospects for the implementation of simulation technologies in practice-oriented training of specialists" 9 reports were presented (views of materials - 307), summarizing the practical experience of laboratories for developing the skills of educational institutions: Borisov MMC, Brest MMC, Grodno MMC, Mogilev MMC, Molodechno MMC, Pinsk MMC, Polotsk MMC, Slutsk MMC.

In section 3 "Formation of a professional orientation of the individual as a condition for improving the quality of training of specialists" 5 reports were presented (views of materials - 128) on the organization of career guidance in the Slonim MMC, volunteering in the Borisov MMC, the formation of spiritual and moral values among students of the Minsk MMC, and also on improving the communicative competence of listeners in the Belarusian Mining and Metallurgical Plant, the formation of self-preserving behavior among listeners in the Gomel Mining and Metallurgical Plant.

The participants of the workshop noted the relevance and practical significance of the presented information and methodological materials for further use in professional activities.
