Candidate of Medical Sciences, associate professor of the Department of Endocrinology
Aleksei Romanovsky has been working at the Department of Endocrinology since 1999, as an associate professor - since 2007.
He defended his Candidate’s thesis in 2000.
His scientific interests include the following: diabetology and associated cardiovascular diseases, thyroidology, emergency endocrinology.
Aleksei Romanovsky repeatedly did internships in endocrinology and radiation medicine at Hiroshima University and the International Institute for Research on Radiation Effects (RERF).
Within the framework of the international humanitarian cooperation and the implementation of projects of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, he participated in screening examinations of the population affected by the Chernobyl disaster.
Aleksei Romanovsky renders emergency endocrinology medical care at the Republican Center for Emergency Medical Care of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus.
He is a member of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes Mellitus, International Diabetes Federation, European and Belarusian Associations of Endocrinologists.
Aleksei Romanovsky has a lot of awards; he was awarded the medal for the excellence in healthcare (2013).
He is an author and coauthor of more than 50 publications, 6 educational guides.
