Alina Volchenko

Alina Volchenko was born in 1985 in Gomel. In 2008 she graduated from Gomel State Medical Institute, Faculty of Preventive Medicine, with distinction. After the graduation, she started her PhD course on Epidemiology at the Department of Infectious Diseases and Scientific and Practical Laboratory of Gomel State Medical University, which she finished in 2011. She is a laureate of the President’s scholarship for PhD students (2011).

Later, in 2012, she graduated from the evening department of the Institute of Advanced Training and Retraining at Francisk Skorina Gomel State University on the specialty «Practical Psychology» and defended her graduation thesis entitled «Behavior of a confident person as a factor of social success».

In 2012 Alina Volchenko was awarded the gratitude of the Chair of Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

In 2014 she defended her thesis work entitled «Epidemiological characteristics of human papilloma viruses of high carcinogenic risk and prevention of cervical cancer through the example of Gomel region». She is an author of more than 80 publications.

Since 2016 Alina Volchenko has been working as a senior lecturer at the Department of Epidemiology and Microbiology of BelMAPE. Her main scientific interests are the following ones: epidemiology of noncommunicable diseases, evidence based medicine, infectious safety of medical staff, educational work and creation of effective methods of prophylactic behavior, medical staff psychology.
