Physiotherapist, Candidate of Medical Sciences, associate professor
Anna Volotovskaya was born in the town of Orsha in a family of employees. In 1989, after the graduation from Minsk Medical Institute, Faculty of General Medicine, she started to work as a general practitioner and physiotherapist in Minsk. From 1998 to 2001 she did her PhD course at the Department of Physiotherapy and Balneology of Belarusian Institute of Advanced Medical Training. Afterwards, she worked as an assistant and associate professor at the Department of Physiotherapy and Balneology of Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. In November, 2005 she was promoted to the position of head of the Department of Physiotherapy and Balneology of BelMAPE.
In 2002 Anna Volotovskaya defended her Candidate’s thesis entitled «Membrane cellular effects of blood irradiation». In 2006 she got the academic title of an associate professor.
Her scientific work is mainly devoted to the issues of laser and magnetic-laser therapy, combined physiotherapy. Anna Volotovskaya is an author and coauthor of more than 190 scientific works, more than 35 study guides, 10 patents, 13 instructions for use. She is a coauthor of the manual «Physiotherapy: national guide» (2009).
Anna Volotovskaya has the highest qualification category (2006).
Consistently, she makes reports at different international and republican conferences, meetings and seminars, not only in Belarus, but also abroad.
Since 2006 she has been performing the duties of a chief physiotherapist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus. Anna Volotovskaya is an academic secretary of the Dissertation Advisory Committee on restorative medicine, physiotherapy, sports medicine, balneology and physiotherapy. She is a member of editorial board of the journal «General Medicine».
In 2018 she got a reward for excellence in healthcare.
