Galina Kachan

Galina Kachan graduated from Minsk State Medical Institute, Pediatric Faculty, in 1982. In 2002, she defended her Candidate’s thesis entitled «Peculiarities of early neonatal period in premature babies at prenatal prevention of respiratory distress syndrome». She did internships in university clinics in Frankfurt, Tubingen, Berlin (Germany). Her main scientific interests are the following ones: immunologic reconstitution in children and teenagers after transplantation of hemopoetic stem cells, transplantation of hemopoetic stem cells in patients with oncohematologic diseases. Galina Kachan is an author of more than 80 scientific works, including 9 educational and practical guides, 2 instructions for use. She is a member of the Academic Council of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology and the Academic Council of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Pediatric Surgery; a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal «Hematology. Transfusiology. Eastern Europe».
