Leonid Denisov

Associate professor, Candidate of Medical Sciences

Leonid Denisov graduated from Odessa Pirogov Medical Institute, Faculty of Dentistry, in 1974.

From 1974 to 1984, Leonid Denisov had been working as a dentist.

Since September, 1984, he has been working at the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry of Belarusian State Institute for Advanced Medical Training (BelMAPE). In 1987, he defended his Candidate’s thesis entitled «Development and clinical-experimental studying of dental dams and their characteristics while treating dental caries». In 1999, he got an academic title of a professor.

His main scientific interests are the following ones: anesthesia in dentistry, treatment of periodontal diseases, professional and individual oral hygiene in the prevention and treatment of periodontal diseases, physical methods of diagnostics and treatment in dentistry.

The results of his scientific investigations are being implemented into training programs and practical healthcare. Leonid Denisov carries out medical advisory work in Minsk and Minsk region.

Leonid Denisov applies only present-day technologies in his clinical practice. He actively participates in consiliums, scientific and practical conferences and meetings.

During his work at the department, Leonid Denisov has published 150 scientific works; he is an author and coauthor of 12 educational guides, 11 instructions, approved by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus. Leonid Denisov has 30 author certificates and patents for invention, 28 rationalization proposals.
