Liudmila Ushakova was born in the family of employees in the town of Bryansk of the Russian Federation. She graduated from the Ukrainian Medical Dental Academy, Faculty of General Medicine, in Poltava. From 1997 to 1998, after the graduation, she did internship as a therapist at Gomel Regional Clinical Hospital.
From 1998 to 2005, she worked as a cardiologist at Gomel Regional Clinical Cardiologic Dispensary. From 1999 to 2002, Liudmila Ushakova was a part-time PhD student on the specialty «Internal Diseases». In 2004, she Defended Candidate's thesis on the specialty «Internal Diseases».
Since 2005, she had been working as an assistant at the Department of Functional Diagnostics of Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. Since 2008, she has been working as head of the Department of Functional Diagnostics. In 2008, she got the academic title of associate professor in clinical medicine.
The main directions of her scientific activities are the following ones: complex diagnostics of patients with combined pathology of coronary heart disease and duodenal ulcers, development and implementation of algorithms for complex diagnostics depending on the state of the autonomic nervous system and thyroid status. She is an author (coauthor) of 117 research publications.
She has the first qualification category as a cardiologist.
Liudmila Ushakova is a member of the Council of BelMAPE, a secretary of the Council of the Therapy Faculty. She is a member of the Republican Certification Commission for Functional Diagnostics, the Republican Qualification Commission for the Assignment of Qualification Categories to sports medicine doctors.
He is a member of the editorial board of the international multimedia electronic scientific-practical and information-analytical journal "International Reviews: Clinical Practice and Health", a member of the public associations "Belaya Rus", "Belarusian Association of Doctors"
