Marina Schaveleva finished PhD course at the Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (Moscow). In 1997, she defended Candidate’s thesis entitled «Organizational modeling of the volume and nature of out-of-hospital care for the urban population in the context of compulsory health insurance» on the specialty “Social hygiene and healthcare management”. Since 1998, she has been working as a senior lecturer and associate professor at the Department of Social Hygiene, Economics and Healthcare Management. Since November, 2013, Marina Schaveleva has been working as head of the department.
In 2003, Marina Schaveleva got the academic title of associate professor.
From 2000 to 2014, she worked as a scientific secretary of BelMAPE and a scientific secretary of the Council of BelMAPE.
Marina Schaveleva is an author of more than 300 educational and methodological and scientific works.
She has regularly been doing advanced training courses at BelMAPE and other organizations.
She is a scientific supervisor and participant of a number of projects, including international ones, which aim at the studying of the state of the population health and improvement of the medical care. She is a member of the editorial board of the journals "Issues of Organization and Informatization of Healthcare", "General Medicine", "Family Doctor", "Recipe".
She was awarded with the badge "Excellence in Health Care", Diplomas of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus and BelMAPE.
