Head of the Department of Therapy, Candidate of Medical Sciences, associate professor
Marina Shtonda was born in Minsk in a family of the employees. In 1990, she graduated from Minsk Labour Red Banner State Medical Institute in General Medicine. After the graduation, until 1997, she worked as a primary care physician at Minsk Polyclinic № 1. From 1997 to 1999, she did clinical residency; from 1999 to 2002, she did PhD course at the Department of Therapy of BelMAPE.
Since 2003, Marina Shtonda had been working as an assistant, and then – as an associate professor at the Department of Therapy of BelMAPE. She has the highest qualification category in therapy.
In 2008, she got the academic title of an associate professor in clinical medicine.
From 2006, to April, 2016, Marina Shtonda worked as dean of the Therapy Faculty of BelMAPE. Since April, 2016, she has been working as head of the Department of Therapy of BelMAPE.
Marina Shtonda is an author and coauthor of more than 90 research and 11 academic works. The area of her scientific interests: chronic heart insufficiency, metabolic syndrome.
Marina Shtonda is awarded honorary diplomas by BelMAPE, by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, by the Presidium of the Republican Committee of the Belarusian Trade Union of Healthcare Workers.
