In 1992, Natalia Novak was admitted to Minsk State Medical Institute, Faculty of Dentistry, and after the graduation in 1997, she started to work as a dentist in a dental clinic of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Minsk. From 1997 to 1999, she underwent clinical residency in dentistry at the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry of Belarusian State Institute for Advanced Medical Training (BelMAPE). In 2003, she defended Candidate’s thesis entitled «Determination of the tooth colors». In 2009, Natalia Novak started Doctoral Candidacy program at the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry of BelMAPE, which she successfully finished in 2012, defending Doctoral thesis entitled «Esthetic restoration of permanent teeth with soft tissue defects». In the same year, Natalia Novak got the academic title of an associate professor. In 2015, she got the President’s scholarship as a talented young scientist.
Natalia Novak is a member of the Dissertation Board of BelMAPE, a secretary of the qualification commission in dentistry for mid-level medical specialists.
The main scientific interests are the following ones: esthetic dentistry, studying of the optical properties of hard tooth tissues and tooth filling materials. The new methods of aesthetic tooth restoration have been successfully implemented into the practical healthcare.
The total number of publications is 355, among them there are 3 monographs, 20 educational guides, 14 instructions for use, approved by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, 1 computer program, 15 patents for invention.
