Oleg Kezlya

Surgeon, traumatologist, orthopaedist, Doctor of Medical Sciences, professor

Oleg Kezlya was born in the village of Kutsevichi of Oshmyany district, Grodno region. In 1971, he finished secondary school in the village of Vornyany of Ostrovets district, Grodno region.

In 1977, after the graduation from Grodno Medical Institute, Faculty of General Medicine, he worked as a traumatologist at Lida Central Regional Hospital.

From 1980 to 1982, Oleg Kezlya underwent clinical residency at the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics at Belarusian State Institute for Advanced Medical Training. From 1982 to 1984, he worked as a traumatologist at Minsk Regional Clinical Hospital, from 1984 to 1985 – as head of Complicated Trauma Unit at Minsk Regional Clinical Hospital. In December, 1985, Oleg Kezlya started to work as an assistant at the Department of Traumatology  and Orthopedics of Belarusian State Institute for Advanced Medical Training. From 1986 to 1988, Oleg Kezlya was on official business trip to Algeria. 

In 1991, he defended his Candidate’s thesis entitled «Radionuclide diagnostics of coxarthrosis».

In April, 1998, he started to work as an associate professor. 

Since March, 2004, Oleg Kezlya has been working as head of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics at Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. 

He has the highest qualification category in traumatology.
