Svetlana Shelkovich

In 1982, she graduated from Minsk State Medical Institute.

From 1982 to 1984, she underwent clinical residency course on Medical Radiology at the Scientific and Research Institute for Oncology and Medical Radiology of the Ministry of Health of BSSR.

In 1984, she worked as an oncologist of the advisory department of the Scientific Research Institute of Oncology and Medical Radiology of the Ministry of Health of the BSSR.

From 1985 to 1990, she worked as a junior researcher at the Department of Oncogynecology of the Research Institute for Oncology and Medical Radiology, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

From 1990 to 1996, Svetlana Shelkovich worked as a researcher at the Division of Oncogynecology of the Scientific and Research Center for Oncology and Medical Radiology of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus.  

From 1996 to 2001, she worked as a senior researcher at the Department of Oncogynecology of the Scientific and Research Center for Oncology and Medical Radiology named after N.N.Aleksandrov.

From 2001 to 2009, she worked as head of Oncogynecology Division of Minsk Clinical Dispensary for Oncology.  

Since 2009 until the present, Svetlana Shelkovich has been working as an associate professor of the Department of Oncology of BelMAPE.

In 2001, she got the academic title of Candidate of Medical Sciences.

In 2012, she got the academic title of associate professor.  

The main directions of scientific researches: development of the methods of surgical, combined and radiation treatment of patients with malignant neoplasms of the female genital organs, study of the genetic aspects of ovarian cancer in order to identify prognostic alleles for an individual approach in the treatment of this disease.

She is the author of over 40 publications.
