Vasily Sevrukevich was born in the village of Kolbcha of Mogilev region in 1961.
In 1987, he graduated from Minsk State Medical Institute. From 1987 to 1991, he worked as a junior researcher and then as a senior researcher at the Scientific and Research Institute for Pulmonology and Phthisiology.
In 1991, Vasily Sevrukevich did internship at the Russian National Surgery Center in Moscow. In 2002, he did internship at the Sklifosovsky Clinical and Research Institute for Emergency Medicine named after in Moscow. In 2003, he did internship in Belgium. From 1991 to 1997, he worked as a surgeon at the 4th Clinical Hospital of Minsk. In 1994, he defended Candidate’s thesis in surgery. Since 1997, Vasily Sevrukevich had been working as a leading research worker at the Scientific and Research Center for Cardiology. In September, 2004, he was appointed to the position of head of the 3rd Cardiosurgery Unit of the Scientific and Research Center for Cardiology.
In 2008, Vasily Sevrukevich started to give lectures at the Department of Cardiosurgery with the Course of Transplantology. In 2013, he got the academic title of associate professor in clinical medicine.

Vasily Sevrukevich is an author of more than 60 research works, 5 inventions and 7 rational proposals. He has publications in medical journals and collections. He participates in scientific meetings and conferences.
He renders emergency cardiosurgery care in other clinics of Minsk and other locations of the Republic of Belarus.
