Vladimir Zhuravlev was born in the town of Monchegorsk of Murmansk region in 1976. In 1999, he graduated from Minsk State Medical Institute.
From 1999 to 2000, Vladimir Zhuravlev did internship on therapy at Minsk Regional Clinical Hospital. From 2000 to 2002, he worked as a surgeon at Berezina Regional Local Medical Association of Minsk region; from 2002 to 2004 – as a surgeon at Minsk City Clinical Hospital № 5.
Since 2004, Vladimir Zhuravlev had been working as a neurosurgeon at Minsk City Clinical Hospital № 5. Since 2011, he had been working as a teacher apprentice, and since 2012 – as an assistant at the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery of Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education; since 2015 – as an associate professor.
Scientific degree: Candidate of Medical Sciences
The topic of his Candidate’s thesis is “Endoscopic methods of surgical treatment of pituitary adenoma”, 2015.
His main scientific interests are the following ones: endoscopic transnasal surgery of pituitary adenoma and other tumors of chiasmosellar area and skull base, neuro-oncology, neliroendocrinology, endoscopic neurosurgery.
Transsphenoidal endoscopic surgery in children at pituitary adenoma, craniopharyngiomas and other skull base tumors. Endoscopic surgery of liquorrhea, skull base defects, encephalocele.
His professional interests are the following ones: operative interventions and consultations of patients with neurosurgical pathologies (pituitary adenomas of different hormonal activity, Cushing disease, acromegalia, tumors of skull base, tumors of cerebro-spinial axis, neuroendocrinal pathology).

Vladimir Zhuravlev is an author of more than 40 publications, 3 patents for inventions in the Republic of Belarus, 3 instructions for use; he is a coauthor of clinical protocols of diagnostics and treatment of malignant tumors.
